These pictures were taken during my time in a beautiful little place called Hoi An in Vietnam. It wasn't hot enough for the beach so we spent most of our time riding bicycles and dipping in and out of the quirky restaurants along the riverside.

Happy New Year! Sorry again for the lack of posts, i hardly ever get the time and rarely have a decent internet connection, i have also just realised that this outfit is practically identical to the previous post, oops!

These photos were taken in Vang Vieng in Laos, it is truly a very beautiful place, even if it is renowned for its 'tubing' status. I am currently in Sapa in Vietnam, it's absolutely freezing and we have had thick fog/cloud for the past few days that has made sight seeing impossible, however we have not let this spoil our time here.

I have started a travel blog, which is basically a brief diary of what i have been up to and i have also included tips on the places we have visited. Again this is not really as up to date as i would like so do bare with me. Please also remember that i am no writer, so a lot of it may just be me rambling on and not using very good English/grammar!

Finally, i have been able to blog again after landing in Bangkok early this morning. I couldn't blog the whole time i was in India as the internet connection was few and far between and when it did work the connection was terrible.

I haven't really taken that many outfit photos due to the rushing around and then the lazy beach days in a bikini, which im sure would become boring after a while.

Photos taken via Instagram, still debating if i should take the iPhone away with me as it wouldn't be covered under insurance but i use it a lot when taking photos..hmm.

Here we have my strange window obsession. The first and last are mine and the middle is my grans, she has the coolest windows ever, whereas i have to decorate mine with, umm, bras and jumpers?

I have decided to pack one jumper for the trip and have chosen this grey, fisherman style, chunky knit, from Topshop. It looks a lot better on and the angora makes it look more expensive, even if i do seem to spend hours pulling the fluff from it out of my eyes, which only aggravates my contact lenses and causes embarrassing tears to roll down my cheeks and smudge my make-up. I'm hoping the stray fluff will calm down once its washed.

H&M jumper & bag, Topshop boots & jeans, vintage silk shirt

Well here goes, the old laptop update, yawn...Anyway, the old one had to have the hard drive replaced again and we weren't sure it would last the duration of our trip, so we decided we would have to take the plunge and buy a new one.

I now finally have a new laptop and its actually all thanks to my boyfriends lovely parents who gave us a very generous, early Christmas present for when we go traveling.

We did incur a slight problem though (i think i'm jinxed when it comes to electronics) whilst transferring our files from the external hard drive it developed a fault and we thought we had lost 4 years worth of photos. Thankfully, after a long week of waiting, the clever computer guy managed to recover almost everything, so i am obviously very grateful for that.

I picked up this jumper a few months back now, i have tried not to wear it every other day and have told myself that once a week is more than enough. I didn't mind that after a few days of wearing it a hole appeared in the seam because i quickly sewed it up and told myself that as it was only £7.99 it didn't matter too much.

I haven't been able to buy many winter clothes recently because of the trip, so it has been a little frustrating having to re-wear most of my old winter clothes and trying to resist buying the usual winter staples that i adore.

By the way, I'm not sure why most of my photos are of me looking to the right, i will bear this in mind for next time and try and look in another direction.....Also not sure why my face is so tanned and my hands so pale, will definitely be changing my foundation to a lighter tone!

New Look boxy jumper & Hat, H&M shorts & bag, Topshop allegra boots

Although I'm about to embark on a 5 month trip around Asia i couldn't resist this grey waffle knit jumper. I bought the hat at the same time and have vowed to take it with me to hide my frizzy hair from the extreme humidity. I also bought it in beige...

The reason for the delay in this post is because once again my laptop broke! I have been assured by the insurance company that they have fixed it, although i am far from convinced. Unfortunately i cannot afford a new one, so if it does fail me whilst i'm away then that will explain my long standing absence.

So, i gave up my rented flat, moved back home, quit my job and booked a flight to Mumbai. I fly out on the 3rd of November 2011 and fly back to the UK on the 30th of March 2012....yep, i'm away traveling for 5 whole months!
I'm not going alone, my boyfriend is joining me, it's something we have always talked about doing and he finally took the plunge and applied for a career break, which he was thankfully granted.

First stop is Southern India, followed by a flight to Bangkok, heading north towards Laos and Vietnam. We will then travel south, along the coast of Vietnam, stopping off at Cambodia, through Malaysia and finally ending our journey in Bali. Although it seems like we have a solid plan we have only booked our main flights and have no tight time schedule, so anything can happen and no doubt things will suddenly change.

I plan on blogging as usual, hopefully more (internet access dependant) and sharing my travel highs and lows as well as my very limited suitcase wardrobe. The only reason for me to stop blogging is if my laptop or camera are stolen/damaged whilst im away. There is no way i could get them replaced until i return to the UK. Not gonna lie, as materialistic as it sounds, this does scare me, as i love taking photos of everything and anything, so fingers crossed they both survive the trip.

If anyone out there has been to any of these wonderful countries and can recommend (cheap) places to stay/go please do get in touch, i also enjoy hearing peoples travel stories good or bad so please do share.

Topshop velvet dress & boots

Wore this beautiful navy crushed velvet dress to a wedding reception last Saturday. I didn't get time to go out and shoot some half decent photos and this was the best of a bad bunch that i managed to take at home before dashing out.
I bought this dress last year during a time when i was particulary broke. The £95 price tag certainly didn't help but as it goes it is one of the best investments i have made, even if it is the single most expensive item of clothing i actually own.

I threw this outfit on whilst in a rush to leave the house after having a, 'i have nothing to wear' moment. I'm still not sure it really works but here are the pictures anyway.

Everything H&M

Excuse the headless shot. I'm never very good at 'posing' for the camera, pictures of me always come out better when i'm least expecting it.

I recently made my 6 month trip to H&M and found this incrediably warm, slightly itchy, fuzzy peach jumper in their Trend range, which if you have read my previous posts you will know is my all time favorite range.
I also picked up this extremely cheap A Wang inspired bag for £25, not leather, but i have been searching for a plain black bag with a shoulder strap for ages and i'm only ever drawn to designer which are always way out of my price range.
The shorts are by H&M but i bought these from eBay. They are relatively recent and i found them brand new new £13. Again not genuine leather but i find it hard to tell the difference and these are incredibly comfortable compared with my Topshop leather versions.

H&M hat, Topshop vintage style dress

I treated myself to this beautiful dress from Topshop. I picked it up in petite (for obvious reasons) and on this occasion teamed it with my Isabel Marant style boots from ASOS.

Rum and coke in hand for the celebration of the annual Praa Sands pirate raft race, drinking during the day is so much more fun and everyone should drink rum when on a beach.

Finally have the old laptop back, fingers crossed it doesn't break down again...oh and i have a new blog layout, opinions?

Charity shop wool cardigan, New Look dress, Topshop sandals & belt, Zara duffle bag

Back in my hometown that is the picturesque Newlyn, took these pictures on the pier, which is one of my favourite places to chill out and watch the world go by, weather dependant mind.

Picked up these bandage type strap sandals in the Topshop sale, reduced from £40 to £15. Found this itchy but snug cardy in a local charity shop for £1 and the dress i have had for a while now but it is easily my absolute wardrobe favourite.

I'm still having laptop problems, hence the flaky posting. I had my old one fixed (replaced hard drive) but it's still not running very well and i have to send it back again tomorrow. I would love to buy a new one but unfortunetly i don't have the money, so please do bear with me.

Topshop jumper, Charity shop DIY shorts,Vintage bag, ASOS boots

I picked up these cord shorts (actually they were trousers) from a charity shop for £1. I was completely inspired by the Isabel Marant pink cut offs (ok maybe the whole outfit is) and have since dyed these a couple of shades pinker.

The ASOS boots i picked up a while back and this was the first time i got the chance to wear them due to the terrible weather we had over June/beginning of July.

I have not been able to post in so long because i still don't have a computer (really long boring story, just one bit of advice, don't ever buy from Dell!) so i have had to upload some pictures onto my sisters laptop although i hope to be able to post more frequently real soon.

I have ordered a new laptop but where i live has hardly any shops so i have to buy everything online. The first one we ordered was too big and heavy so we had to order another and send the other one back, nightmare!

I have missed blogging so much and cannot wait to start posting regularly again.

Topshop everything, necklaces eBay & Thailand, Vintage bag

A really simple (slightly boring) outfit for a walk to Madron Wishing Well.

The random bits of material hanging on the tree has become a bit of a tradition. People tie a ribbons/notes/actually anything to the tree branches and make a wish, i especially love random things like that and of course i had to do it too.

We are moving out of our flat in the next couple of weeks and our internet is being cut off as of tomorrow, this will make blogging difficult, so if i go quiet that's why, oh and the fact that we have to pack up our whole flat!

What hasn't helped is that in the middle of the night i woke up with a flu virus. So i am 'bed bound' literally, just getting a drink is hard work.

Luckily i seem to bounce back pretty quick so i'm hoping to be able to start packing (not feeling it) some of our things up on Sunday.

*UPDATE I have moved house and have internet but my laptop has broken so i still can't update as all my pictures are stored on that computer and i don't have a spare. Tried blogging from my iPhone but it wouldn't let me upload any pictures. I hope to be back real soon because i really miss blogging and my lovely readers :)

The leather/suede material is is super soft and buffed off on the front, which is practical considering i somehow always manage to scuff the front of my shoes.

The double sided shiny zips make these definite keepers.

Excuse the rushed pictures that were taken last Friday before we went out for some pub grub and then watched Hangover 2. I found it hilarious, so much better then the first one, i almost didn't go because i found the first one over-rated. It was only after a friend recommended it and the fact that most of it was filmed in Bangkok that persuaded me.

For those of you who have seen the film, we went to the Lebua Hotel, whilst in Bangkok, some of the scenes in the film were shot there so it was pretty cool to see it again. You can find my Bangkok post here, i'm sure you will recongnise some of the last few pictures from the film.

It's hard to believe that this time last week i could go outside without a jacket, wear my open toe sandals and finally bare my legs, this week it's all changed and i'm back in my shearling jacket and opaque tights.

isle of wight festival 2011

So i entered a competition to win 2 x weekend camping tickets to the Isle of Wight festival and for the first time in my life, i actually won!

To enter you had to submit a picture to Company Magazine wearing an H&M outfit, which coincidentally we had just taken pictures of me wearing my favorite H&M dress.

So without really thinking about it, i entered the above picture.

However there is a downside to this story, i didn't realise it was THIS weekend and most of my friends are abroad for a friends wedding (which i couldn't afford to go to myself) my boyfriend is on a stag weekend and any other friends back home can't make it due to the short notice.

After investigating every possibility i can think of, unfortunately my only option is to reluctantly sell them, so if anyone is interested in having an absolutely awesome, last minute weekend away, watching loads of cool bands play live, then please feel free to get in touch via my email.

After searching everywhere for a pair of leather shorts, i have finally found some that are textbook perfect and it only took me 3 long years.

We went to Pendennis Castle in Falmouth (i just love castles and old cool, stuff) probably not wearing very appropriate clothing but then being appropriate gets boring.

I'm also not sure Cornwall is ready for leather shorts, when i walked into the kitchen earlier my flatmate had a mouth open, shocked expression on his face and then said to me, 'Jesus, leather hot pants, awesome!' I personally much prefer the term 'leather shorts', hot pants sounds like something a stripper a would wear and i was going to wear these to work, on second thoughts maybe not.

The rest of the pictures we took sucked and this was the best of a bad bunch.

Also realised i didn't like what i was wearing until seeing these pictures, although that may have been down to us getting the lighting all wrong.

I'm having a huge 'i have nothing to wear' dilemma everyday at the minute, which makes me late for work and i'm not sure how i can shake it off.

I'm sure it's something to do with the weather, i much prefer winter clothes because summer for me in Cornwall is just too cold and i always feel the need to wear tights or jumpers even when everybody else has 90% of their flesh on show, just looking at them makes me shiver. Think i have bad circulation, which is stupid because i don't even smoke.

I found my cameo! I am so so happy.

Wore this outfit out last night actually. Ever since the smoking ban came into effect a few years ago, i have found that i do this quite often, is that a bit gross?

The only difference is the shoes, i had my towering platform heels on and walked like bambi the whole night, no joke. I not only stumbled with every other step that i took, i also fell flat on my face twice! This resulted in two bruised knees a sore foot and a massive cringe factor the following morning.

I'm seriously considering selling them on eBay now as i'm too scared to ever wear them again.

Ok, so i'm a little bit obsessed with Isabel Lucas and decided to put a collage together of all the pictures that i have collected of her. Slightly weird i know but i can't help it, this girl fascinates me.

Apart from being absolutely beautiful and putting together some of the best outfits i have ever seen, i just love her innocence and the way she holds herself.

Definitely the best boho babe in recent years, she's not afraid to experiment either and seems to enjoy changing her style and mixing it up.

Her trademark look is usually devised of espadrilles, a hat and a long skirt or dress, not forgetting her messy yet carefree locks, simple but perfect.

Saturday involved all day drinking, dancing, pushing through crowded pubs, spingo, fairground rides and lot's of laughing. The event was Helston Flora day of course, a Cornish festival involving all of the above, small feature here.

My sister made these amazing cupcakes and brownies (that's what's in the tin i'm holding in case you're wondering) and she offered them around to friends and even a few strangers, they went down an absolute treat.

After so much fun the only downside of this day was me losing my favorite cameo pendant necklace. I am absolutely gutted as it was given to me by one of my best friends for my birthday and is irreplaceable, i have trawled the internet all evening and haven't even come close.

H&M dress and hat

Last weekend was mostly about the royal wedding. I had a hen do the following day and didn't really do much on the Friday, so as i felt like dressing up for the occasion i decided to wear my prettiest lady dress with a splash of red lips, glitter nails and of course a fedora hat.

The flag we found on the train, the champagne we somehow managed to convince a group of guys to give to us and the first class carriage we were sat in we hadn't actually paid for, as we only had standard train tickets. Somehow being drunk makes all of this seem normal at the time.

The last two pictures of the cream tea were taken in a deli in Marazion, it was amazing.

Picked up these leather fringe boots online at New Look the other day, reduced from £49.99 to £25.00, very happy about that.

These boots remind me of the All Saints version, only stupidly so much cheaper. I have wanted the All Saints fringe boots for over 2 years now but could never find any in my size, nor did i have a spare £180 in my bank account.

This over sized jumper i found last year in Topshop. Ian Ridge calls it 'the smelly jumper' because it has a weird (but not un-pleasant) smell to it, even after i have washed it, i'm thinking it's something to do with the angora. Still this doesn't ever put me off wearing it, in fact it's the one jumper in my wardrobe that i always pick out.

I seem to wear a lot of white smock dresses come summer and have to remind myself that i have enough already and not to buy anymore. This is just a cover up beach dress that i got a couple of years ago, it's very see-through so works best with tights and a crop top, and no i still haven't been brave enough to take off my tights and bare my lily white chicken legs, gross.

I want my dining room to look like this, i love how the table has worn off green paint, it kind of reminds me of an old school dinner table, and as for that pretty chandalier, well i have always wanted one and this is perfect.

Topshop bag and runner shorts, H&M hat and boots, New Look duffle, Vintage necklace pendants

After having the sunniest and hottest weather all week i was so looking forward to my long weekend off, hitting the beach, wearing in my new bikinis and drinking in the sun. Sadly as soon as Friday came and i embraced the start of having four fun filled days off, the weather suddenly changed.

After spending £70 in Tesco on BBQ food, wine and beer, packing up all our camping gear and even saw me rocking out a pair of uggs (see they can be useful) it decided to piss down. This still didn't deter us and we decided to drive to the beach anyway in the hope that it was just a shower that would clear. Sadly this didn't happen and the rain set upon us for the rest of the day, whilst the rest of England basked in glorious sunshine.

We changed our plans and went out to a friends house that evening, drank far too much cava, talked nonsense to new friends and laughed at stuff that probably wouldn't be that funny if we were sober.

This is what i wore last night, i then decided to wear it again today during our walk to the round houses (an iron age fort) yes i did wear heels and no i suprisingly didn't twist my ankle on the rugged terrain :)

Although the weather is sunny here and the girls and boys are baring their flesh, i need it to be 28 degrees at least, before i wear sandals and have naked legs.

My friend Rachael introduced me to these platform shoes via her blog. I can't promise i'm going to keep them because i doubt i will even be able to walk in them but i had to order just in case.

I got these silky runner shorts online the other day. As i can't wear denim to work, these are now my denim substitutes, i now have to remind myself not to wear them everyday.
Sorry my pictures are still not the same size, i'm yet to figure out how to do that, i think i need some editing lessons.

Forgot all about it until i received a phone call from asos saying that after going through over 600 entries in the past 2 days that they had short listed the final 16 and that i was one of them!

This is what i bought the other day following my long awaited shopping trip. I also picked up a bikini and some sandals both from H&M which i will post later on.

Although colour is supposed to be 'in' right now, as you can see i stuck to my plain old neutral outfits. I did however try on one amazing bright mulit-coloured 70's inspired dress from H&M, but the size 8 was too big and they didn't have a 6, so a little gutted about that, colour is obviously not meant to be in my wardrobe just yet.

H&M top

I went to H&M on Saturday, for the first time in 5 months. As some of you already know this is a big deal for me as i live 90 miles away from the nearest H&M. The one in Drake Circus (Plymouth) is by far the best, the trend range there is beyond amazing.
The back of this top is by far better then the front and thats exactly what drew me to this in the first place. I now always check the back of everything these days because for me thats the make or break.

My gran loves clothes as much as me but her collection is overwhelming, as in she has piles and piles of clothes in almost every room.

I'm going to take lots more pictures soon, i want to photograph every corner of every room and capture every detail of her life because she truly is my inspiration, this could take a while...

Quite a boring outfit but i still looked out of place compared to what the other hardcore walkers were wearing. Er i was the only person carrying a handbag and not wearing trainers, although ian ridge wore flip flops so we both kind of stood out.

I'm suprised i haven't twisted my ankle in these shoes yet, they may be flats but they are slightly too loose and easily fall off my feet. Not so great when you're ventuing around rugged paths on Madron Moor.

Men-an-tol is what the stone is called that i'm pictured crawling through. I don't know much about it's history to be honest except that it's a pretty cool stone that has been around for thousands of years, but i did find this on Wikipedia which made for an interesting read.

Today we had a bit of sun so we made the most of it and headed to Mousehole harbour. I did get my pale legs out for about an hour before i started to freeze when the clouds came over and hid the sun.

The lense for our camera arrived today but for some reason they didn't send the camera body with it, which made for quite a dissappointing package.

These pictures were taken with our Nikon bridge camera so hopefully there will be an improvement in the qaulity with the new one and hopefully no more over exposed sky.

I'm not miserable in the last picture i just wasn't smiling and if i don't smile i look miserable, a bit like a fish because my mouth goes down, it's really annoying, but i would look like a nutter if i went around smiling all day, so miserable it is :)

More grainy iPhone pictures, sorry. Although the grainy look is so much kinder on my face. I think tonight i'm going to order a new SLR. I have some savings and they are meant to be for my round the world trip but i need to take pictures when i travel so its kind of essential that i buy one. Luckily my boyfriend likes taking pictures almost as much as i do and so we are going to split the cost.

I got this oversized, chunky knit jumper over a year ago and i never get bored of seeing it hanging nicely in my wardrobe. I didn't think i would ever wear it with beige trousers but it seemed to work when i paired the two together. I especially love the pearl detailing on the front and considering i only paid about £30 for it i think it's was definitely one of my best buys.

Last Sunday was one of the sunniest and warmest days of the year, so we made the most of it by heading to the pebble beach in Newlyn and drinking Rattler.

I know an all black outfit may seem odd considering the nice weather but unless it's over 20 degrees out i consider it cold and thought the all black outfit would attract the sun and help keep me warm in the cold sea breeze. It worked until about 3pm when the sun got weaker and started to disappear for the day.

I picked this jumper up in H&M last year. I have recently seen quite a few people with the silver version but when i saw this they only had it in black, and a size 10, so it's a little too big but i couldn't resist the weird crispy outer coating and Wang-esqe style going on.

Topshop jumper & grey socks, H&M dress

I bought this jumper last year, it's so big and comfy, i love the loose fit. It has angora in it which makes it smell kind of funny, my boyfriend calls it 'the smelly jumper' but that doesn't put me off wearing it.

My camera is broken so i am using a basic compact which is not as good qaulity, but a decent SLR with two lenses would cost roughly £700 and i just don't have that kind of money. I also wanted to save for a Macbook Pro but that's going to have to wait as i think a new SLR is more important.

I really want to find a good photo editing programme, as the version of Photoshop i have is quite old and i find it complicated to use, so if anyone knows of any please let me know :)

I would love to bring this blog up to much higher standard but i have no idea how to, i just know that i want improve the qaulity of the pictures, be able to have all pictures the same size and learn how to edit them.

I had a pretty hectic weekend, my mate Lloyd made a surpise visit home after spending a year in Oz. The first time we saw him was at 4am when he somehow managed to climb onto our neighbours roof and was found by Ian Ridge knocking on our kitchen window. He managed to break two tiles and the gutter, but he's a legend and we still love him.

This is how my weekend went. I cleared out my wardrobe and bought matching velvet hangers (£4.99 for 10 from Poundstretcher) and shoe boxes (£2.99 each or 3 for 2 from Poundstretcher) to tidy away my dusty shoes.
I also tried to put everything in colour co-ordinate order, which was pretty easy considering most of my clothes consist of whites, beiges, greys, blacks and blues.

My sister Vashti is amazing at baking cakes, she made these beautiful chocolate cupcakes and everything from the moist texture to the creamy icing was just perfect, i've yet to taste better.

I have been obsessing over the aran knit jumper for a couple of years now, but could never actually find one. Then suddenly they were everywhere, which kind of put me off buying one, until i came across this in the petite section and decided to go ahead and try it on anyway. Turned out to be the perfect fit, short sleeves, not too tight, not too baggy, lightweight material and most importantly not itchy, so i went ahead and bought it.

Although kind of awkward to try and not get make up on the collar when you take it on and off and not being able to eat anything without a bib made out of tissue, it is easily one of my favourite jumpers right now.

I just splashed out on this bag from UO. It is pratically identical to the Mulberry Neely, which i have desperately wanted ever since it came out, however it was way out of my budget, meaning i could never afford it. This seems to be the perfect substitute, i just hope it lives up to my expectations, only downside is, it's not leather.

*Update - Bag arrived but i'm disappointed! It smells really cheap (like Primark bags do) thats not a bad thing because it's Primark and they cost £8, but this cost £48 and it's not worth it as i feel the quality is quite poor. Also UO charge you to send items back and as the nearest store from where i live is about 160 miles away then it's impossible for me to do that. So all in all i lost about £10 in p&p, gutted, i definitely won't be ordering from UO again.

Picked up this sheer tunic dress/top thing from New Look recently. It is completely see-through so a slip underneath is a must, unless you're brave or in a hot country. I think it's actually meant to be a top but because i'm short i can just about get away with it as a dress, if i wear opaques.
I was drawn to this because of the simple detailing, those huge floaty sleeves and the light fabric which will be perfect in the up and coming warmer months ahead.
It's a very 'me' outfit and will no doubt become a favourite amongst my other creamy/white staple choices that mainly seem to dominate my wardrobe.

So after i found my £15 coat in New Look i also found this perfect mustard knit jumper. I like how the sleeves are a tighter fit yet the body part is loose and baggy. I got a size 10, just incase i shrink it in the wash. If it comes out in black i will more than likely buy that colour too because right now i would wear this one everyday if i could.

My hair is pretty wild at the minute, i just wake up and it looks like this, i don't bother styling or even brushing it, i hate it! If i was pretty enough i would shave it all off and start again, but i think if i did that i would get mistaken for that weird creature out of Lord of the Rings, scary thought....

Oh and i'm probably the only blogger not doing a Valentines post but i find all that stuff cheesy, a bit too commercial and just a way for shops to make money out of people by selling hideous tack. Phuket & Similan Islands

Last of the pictures during my time in Thailand. Stayed in Phuket for a couple of nights so we could visit the Similan Islands. We walked on sand so soft it felt like talcum powder and went snorkelling in crystal clear water, surrounded by beautiful tropical fish and at one point a couple of turtles, which was a truely amazing experience.

Spent a night on the town of Patong which is absolute filth. Full of Europeans with pretty young thai girls on their arms and seedy go-go bars where the girls danced like robots. Not somewhere i would spend more then a couple of nights and there are nicer areas of Phuket but for one night it's an unusual experience that you will never forget.

Koh Lanta

Sorry, more cheesy holiday pics from Thailand. Still wearing the hat (see i told you i never took it off) but it hid my bad hair days (which were everyday) perfectly.

In Koh Lanta we had stretches of beach to ourselves, we really made the most of that during our time here. However as you know i don't like to sit still for long, so we hit the roads, explored Mai Cave (last pic, also includes my lovely sister) walked for miles along the beautiful white sandy beaches and tried to visit every rustic, shabby bar we could find, meeting new people along the way.
Lanta is definitely the most chilled place in Thiland and a far cry from the bustling streets of Bangkok and the seedy go go bars in Phuket, more from there next time.

I recently purchased some new underwear via asos.com. As some of you may know i don't like wearing padded bras and only ever wear soft cups, which seem to be impossible to find these days.

Luckily i have just discovered the asos Boudoir range and so far i have bought four sets. My favourites are the three pictured, everything from the slightly racy bondage style to the pretty lace triangle structure with the little white bows. Then there's the back, it has to have a thin strap, i can't be dealing with anything too large, the thinner the better, these are exactly how i imagine the perfect bra look.

Size wise i got an XS but the Lattice comes up tiny so order one to two sizes up.

Railay & Krabi

So when i go on holiday i don't really like to sit still. I have to explore and do as much as possible otherwise i feel like i'm missing out. One of our little adventures was climbing up a mountain in Railay to see the View-Point and Lagoon. It was hilarious and definitely wouldn't be allowed in this country unless you had all climbing gear and a qaulification in mountaineering.

Our favourite place for drinking and entertainment had to be the Last Bar on the East side of Railay. We danced until the early hours and watched in amazement at the awesome fire shows.

In Krabi we went elephant trekking, it poured with rain just as we got on and i was actually pretty scared as those elephants don't seem that stable, especially when they are climbing up muddy hills, one hour stuck on top of one is more then enough, believe me. We also enjoyed a kayak trip to some caves, a swim down a river in a National Park, drinking cocktails from bamboo and the late night street market at the weekend. The food market is just as brilliant and well worth a visit to taste some authentic Thai dishes, the mini coconut pancakes were my favourite.

Few more cheesy holiday pics, this time from Koh Tao. Unfortunately i think this blog has somewhat flatlined recently, oops sorry, not really sure what i can do about that, i must be really dull haha.

We had the worst weather here but we didn't let that ruin things. Although one morning after a few too many cocktails the night before we were woken by this thunder and lightning storm. It was really close to us and we were lying awake at 7am listening to the heavy rain battering our hut. Then suddenly there was this almighty loud crack and banging noise, our roof lit up bright orange and i screamed so loudly i think i woke up the whole island. We had just been struck by fork lightning and i honestly thought i was going to die, at the time it went in slow motion and i was just lying in bed waiting for the pain of the lightning to hit me or the roof to cave in. Sounds dramatic i know but i honestly thought that was it, my time was up and death was upon me. Luckily it just blew the electrics and we all lived haha.

The second to last picture includes a random thai kid that wouldn't leave us alone, she was so funny and loved havig her picture taken. The last picture was taken on the night ferry. Actually we nicknamed it the 'Refugee boat' (for obvious reasons, given the overcrowding and numbers written above our beds) but condisering it was a 9 hour journey with a load of people sharing a room i actually slept really well.
Bit of advice for anyone that does go on one of these is, make sure you book a bed (loads of people were kipping outside on the deck because they didn't realise they had to reserve one) and secondly take a blanket because the aircon made the room really cold (hence why i'm wearing those hideous blue flight socks), in the end i had to climb inside the skanky bed sheet that probably hadn't been washed for months

Few pictures i took in Samui. Not my favourite place in Thailand but after a noisey night in Chewang we came across a little place called Fishermans Village a couple of miles away which had this amazing rickety old pier that i fell in love with. We then found a pretty cheap room to rent and in the mornings we awoke to the sound of the sea gently washing up against the sand, absloute bliss.

Just a few little things i love about Thailand...one being the perfectly laid out items for sale in the local markets, everything is in order and nothing is out of place, this even applies in the food establishments (as seen in the second picture).

Found the 'Pills for sale' sign in a local chemist (can you believe that?) and the gas station (seen in the first picture) is an absolute beauty, i just love how laid back everything is over there.

Not a very clear picture of my very plain outfit (jeez i'm not even wearing shoes) but simple and cool enough for the humidity Koh Samui. I'm not sure a Playboy t-shirt is appropriate when visiting buddahs or at any other time in fact but i like the faded picture and slightly naked lady that you can only just make out.

I was a bit of a hippy in Thailand, didn't bother washing or brushing my hair for a few days, lived in a hat the whole holiday (well apart from in this pic) and at times walked around bare foot. Actually i did in fact lose my one only pair of shoes at one point, however after 24 hours of bare footedness i found them shoved under some random fridge in a restaurant by the pier

I haven't posted in so long because i haven't had anytime from all the traveling i have done around Thailand. So here is a very quick post while i have a spare 5 minutes and free wi-fi in my room.

So far i have been to Bangkok, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Lanta, Krabi and Railay, tomorrow i'm off to Phuket and then sadly we head home on Thursday.

This is the only outfit post i have had time to do, the rest of my pictures are of me sweating, wearing a bikini and a hat. Not exactly great pictures to post but i can't handle wearing clothes when i'm hot. My Ray-Bans are knock offs from a market in Samui, which is probably a good thing as i have already left them in a bar. The logo on the front has now rubbed off and i don't care if i lose them or if i get them scratched, fakes are the way forward when traveling around. Also the genuine Ray-Bans fall off my head, even after trying on over 100 different styles now, i still can't find any to fit my stupid pin head.

Anyway right now i'm off to bed, but i will post more cheesey holiday snaps once i'm back in Kernow :)

Outfit post from the airport. Sorry it's not a very clear picture, we still have problems getting a good one from the hybrid and i way prefer the hipstamtic. When checking out other fashion blogs i get the feeling you either have to be really hot and photogenic or everyone is shit hot at editing themselves using Photoshop. Either way for me, it's just not happening!

I bought this bag from Zara in the Siam shopping centre in Bangkok. I saw it online ages ago and have always wanted it but the nearest Zara to me from where i live is 100 miles away, so i never got a chance to find it. I probably paid £20 more for it because the exchange rate is so bad right now but i think it was most definitely worth it. I especially love the thick leather shell and that gold chain detailing on the side, slightly A-Wang-esque maybe?

I am now staying on Koh Samui, which in my opinion is a bit of a dump and not somewhere that i want to stay for very long. We have had rain the past couple of days too, but i guess that can't be helped. We stayed in Chaweng the first night and all i can say is, i am so glad i decided to bring my earplugs. There was banging music and fireworks right outside from where we were staying, that went on until the early hours of the morning. Also the room was way too overpriced so we decided to move towns and we are now in Bo Phut, which is quieter and without the whole Newquay style nightlife.

During the day though, i have had so much fun cruising around the island on a hired moped. I have never been on one before and with the warm breeze on your skin and the thrill of riding around (probably illegally) without a care in the world and not actually knowing where you're going, makes it the most adventorous way to get around.

Bangkok city - Pictures by myself

Well here are just a few pictures from Bangkok city. We have crammed in so much in such a short space of time. Will be boarding a flight to Koh Samui this morning, i'm really looking forward to heading to the beach for some relaxation time after the craziness of Bangkok.

On NYE we headed to the Sky Bar but they tried charging us £150 each just to get in! So we ditched that idea and headed to Kohsan Road to finally meet my brother who has been travelling in Thailand for the past 2 months. Was so good catching up and we had the funniest night ever. I'm not a huge fan of Kohsan Road, it reminds me of an Asian Newquay with drunk people falling over everywhere and cheap tack being sold in the shops/market stalls. Still after spending the countdown of NYE in a dirty mens toilet in Bangkok (er that sounds dodgy haha) i can honestly say i had a fantastic new years eve.

The following day we returned to the Sky Bar hoping that there wouldn't be any riduculous charge to get in and thankfully there wasn't this time. Got some amazing pictures there, the view of Bangkok is just breathtaking, a must see place if you're ever in the city. Drinks however are stupidly pricey at around £10 per cocktail but it was definiately worth it for the experience. We arrived at just after 5pm which was perfect timing as it was still light so we had the best of the day and night views.

Anyway i am here and it is crazy! Tonight we are heading to the Sky Bar for cocktails and to take in the busy Bangkok skyline. Apparently this place is stupidly expensive so pre drinks in our hotel room is in order first.

Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas, unfortuntely my Xmas has been pretty rough. I have been unwell since Tuesday, then on Xmas day i woke up feeling a million times worse and haven't been able to leave my bed since. I missed everything and haven't even been able to have a glass of mulled wine. Hopefully i will be able to shift this flu by the 28th Dec because that's the date i fly to Thailand and right now getting dressed seems impossible, let alone packing my suitcase, a 7 hour drive to the airport and a 14 hour flight to Bangkok!

On a few of them i have used the Hipstamatic App to create different textures and colours, so that's why some of the pictures are doubles. I find that the best skies are at this time of year.

Banana Cake

Put the flour, eggs, butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl

Using a whisk mix the ingredients together

Mush up the bananas using a fork. You can also use an extra ingredient if you fancy, i chose chocolate :)

Break up the chocolate and mix in with the mushed up banana using a spoon

Pour the mixture into a loaf tin. Don't forget to grease the tin first or use greaseproof paper

Remove from the tin and leave to cool on a rack

Enjoy

Ingredients:

5oz Butter
6oz Caster Sugar
7oz Self Raising Flour
2 Eggs
Chocolate (optional)
2 or 3 Ripe Bananas

Pre-heat the oven to 180c (for fan assisted ovens 160c) Cook for 40 minutes
Now adjust temperature to 160c (140c for fan assisted ovens) and cook for a further 20 minutes
Cooking times do vary depending on your oven so do please bear this in mind.
This recipe is so easy and simple to follow, if i can do it anyone can!

I don't normally send Christmas cards but this year i wanted to make the effort and give my family a card that was unlike the usual ones you can pick up for £2.99 in a card shop. My youngest sister is a genius when it comes to making cards, every birthday without fail i receive a beautiful and unique homemade card which would have taken her hours to construct.
I originally wanted a snow themed picture but as we have been the only place in the country without snow this has made that idea impossible. So i instead used pictures that i have taken over the last couple of months using my iPhone and the Hipstamatic App.
I chose the pictures i wanted and printed them out, changing their size and putting four pictures on one sheet of A4 photographic paper using Photoshop. I then trimmed the pictures neatly and set them onto black card, which i preferred to white.
I then used a gold pen to write inside the cards which looks great against the black background. For the envelopes that i needed to send to people i used coloured card and ensured it was sealed securly. For the cards that i can deliver by hand i randomly created a little folder envelope. So simple and easy to do and i have made my friends birthday card using the same method, hopefully everyone likes them!

Stumbled across the Edie yesterday whilst browsing the Mulberry website. I don't even know why i look becuase i can never afford any of the bags i want! Two things i love about these bags, the guitar style strap with the embroided roses and rabbits and the old English satchel style. Similar to the Alexa yet that strap gives it a unique twist, so perfect.

This isn't fashion but i thought i would share my favourite skincare range, I first discovered this whilst working in a hair and beauty salon. Before, the most i ever spent on face wash was £3.00 and i didn't even own eye cream. After trying out samples that a beautition recommended for my skin, i took the plunge and bought the lot. The half price discount certainly helped at the time but nowadays i use a great website called Beauty Flash which can be found Here which has excellent discount on the full Dermalogica range.

I use Special Cleansing Gel every night to remove my make up, and Skin Prep Scrub twice a week to exfoliate my face. Oil Control Lotion is a lightweight moisturiser that is amazing, because i have oily skin which can have occassional breakouts this really helps to control any excess oil and spots.
Intensive Eye Eepair i use every night after i have cleansed and in the morning under my make up. Under my eyes can get quite dry and this is really moisturising yet kind to the delicate eye area. Total Eye Care is my absolute must have, i just can't live without it. I use it after i have applied my foundation, it moisturises the eye area and has this amazing light reflector in it that gets rid of any dark circles.
I have quite sensitive skin and this is the only skincare range that doesn't irritate me and gives results i can really notice compared to what is around on the high street.

Ok so not fashion related at all but i have a new job which requires me to wear a gross uniform, so right now i have no time or energy to come home, change out of my uniform, put on some of my usual attire and then do an outfit post. Instead I come home, raid the fridge and put my pyjamas on! I am envious of all of you who can outfit post daily, that would be my dream but right now it's not happening and this makes me sad. So sorry for the lack of updates hopefully i will learn to find a balance soon.

Anyway i'm doing a short photography course at college and we had to do a panaramic view. I chose to do the inside of our flat because the weather was too wet to do it outside.
The flat is pretty bare because we only moved in recently and it costs so much to furnish and buy all the things you want to make it your own home. Also it's rented so the walls have to stay pristine white, so no wallpaper feature walls for me. One thing i am going to to is collect loads of random picture frames and fill them with our favourite photos.
Personally i do prefer houses that are older, quirkier and with more character (think Kirsty Allsop style for all you UK readers) but where i live there are hardly any places to rent and most are absolute dumps, so when this place came along we just couldn't turn it down.

My favourite is probably the wedding photo of my mother and father. Even though they are now divorced it has got to be the best wedding photo i have ever seen. They married in a London registry office, only my father would wear a leather jacket and trousers to his own wedding. I wish i knew where that perfect, 60's style polka dot dress that my mother is wearing is.

Oxfam silk shirt, Charity shop DIY Levi shorts, Vintage faux fur from eBay

I have been taking full advantage of the amazing weather we have had recently. Although it's been a bit cooler i can't complain, the sun has been shining everyday for the past few weeks now, which in Cornwall is almost unheard of.
I got this faux fur from eBay a while ago now and copies seem to be all over the high street. However i still prefer this one to any of those that i have seen in the shops, probably because it's old and it already has a story to tell from the last person to have worn it. I also find it weird that the label says size 12, i'm always a size 6-8 in jackets and this one fits me perfectly. It just goes to show how sizes have changed over the years.

Oxfam silk shirt, Topshop trousers and socks, Zara vamp sandal

Bad pics again, sorry, think my boyfriend is fed up with being my personal photographer. I found this amazing silk shirt in my local Oxfam shop for only £3.99. At first i didn't realise it was silk, i was just drawn to this floaty, light, beautiful material.Once i tried it on, fell in love, confirmed that it was 100% silk by checking the label and the proceeded to head straight to the nice old lady at the till. I have been looking for a silk shirt for ages but didn't want to pay the £40-£60 price tag on the ones that i found on the high street. I had given up looking until i stumbled across this one, which is so much more perfect given that it's old and worn in already.

Dodgy pictures again, sorry. Today i mostly cleaned my whole house, which actually took me 4 hours. I'm a freak about things looking perfect so i cleaned everything from the oven to the fridge and even sorted out those annoying drawers that you always end up shoving your junk into. My boyfriend has now got a nice little pile of his 'mess' that i found scattered around the house, which i kindly placed neatly on his side of the bed. I know i'm a loser but i get so much satisfaction from making things clean and tidy, maybe i should embark on a cleaning career? I didn't wear this outfit though that would be weird, this is what i wore the other day, peter pan collars are the way forward.

Topshop knitted jumper & wedges, Vintage bag

Sorry about the terrible pictures, i had to use my mini digital camera because my other one doesn't have a self timer, weird? I have been so slack on the outfit posts recently and actually really missed doing them. I have just had the worst couple of weeks with work and I'm desperately trying to find another job.

Anyway lets talk about something else for a change. Found this amazing chunky knit jumper in amongst a billion other chunky knit jumpers and fell in love straight away. It pratically swamps my whole body and the slash neck and the way it dips down at the back made it all too much to resist. Thanks to some left over birthday gift vouchers this jumper was free.

Cape Cornwall - January 2009

This picture pretty much reflects my mood right now. After learning i had lost my job i also had the misfortune of catching a cold/flu virus that has left me in a pathetic state for the last few days now.

Not only has the company i worked for gone under, it has also taken hundreds of thousands infact millions of innocent customers money with it. I worked for a company that sold foreign currency but as we were a forward ordering service customers had to part with their hard earned money first and get delivery later, sometimes up to 2 months later to secure them the best exchange rate.
Today i had a message on Facebook from a client who i had dealt with. The story makes me feel sick. She's given us £10,000 to secure a deposit on a property she is buying abroad. She's worried because she has read on the internet that the company has gone bust, she can't get hold of me or anyone else at the office and she desperately wants to know where her money is and if the company is still trading. How do i reply to that?

H&M ethnic chunky knit scarf & hat, everything else Topshop

Still having loads of fun with the Hipstamatic app, so much so that i have almost given up using the Nikon. Took these pictures at Penzance Promenade and Friendship Woods whilst walking the adorable Mazey, she's not actually my dog, we were just looking after her this weekend.
On Saturday I made my usual 180 mile round trip to my nearest H&M and picked up this ethnic style chunky knit scarf that has since sold out online. The pattern is so unique and brightens up my dull grey/black outfit, i can't wait to wrap myself up in it all winter.
Also i am loving that H&M and Zara are finally online, although slightly disappointed that H&M don't seem to stock their 'Trend' range, which happens to be my favourite, fingers crossed that at some point they do.
Oh and i downloaded the H&M app, shook my phone and got a 20% off discount voucher, so my scarf cost me £20 instead of £25, which i was very grateful for given my dismal financial situation.

I got this Hipstamatic app a few weeks ago and it's easily my favourite app so far. I'm still playing about with the film, lenses and flash and working out which i prefer.
I upgraded from my BlackBerry to the iPhone 4 on my birthday. After a lot of um-ing and ah-ing about whether to upgrade to BB or iPhone i definitely made the best decision, even if it did cost me £230 (no wonder i'm so broke!) Ok enough of me sounding like an annoying sales person, it's finally the weekend and it's been a very long week.

Everything Topshop

Didn't get a chance for any outdoor shots so sorry about the awkward pictures. This outfit is possibly the comfiest outfit ever, it's like wearing pyjamas. I also bought this top in dark grey but haven't worked out what i prefer to wear it with yet. Cream seems to be getting the most wear but unfortunately i always seem to spill food & drink all over it, so it's ended up being in the wash with lots of Vanish on far too many occasions and probably a lot more are to come.

Been rather slow on the updates recently, i just haven't really had time and i really have to be in the mood to go and have my photo taken because truth be told i absolutely hate it. I much prefer taking pictures of other people. If i could find someone who i could dress up in my clothes and take pictures of them for my blog then well that would be perfect. I'm just incredibly un-photogenic and always stand really awkward and gormless, i don't know why, i guess i'm not very elegant.
Ok enough about my cringe model poses, it's all about the clothes right? I have worn this slip before and this shirt but right now i'm recycling my outfits because i'm completly broke. It sucks, i'm desperate to get some cosy Autumnal outfits but due to insufficient funds that is merely a pipeline dream.
Oh and i wish Henry Holland made these tights in different sizes because these are huge on me, constantly fall down and are baggy on my ankles :(
All i have done is moan, sorry, i'm actually quite happy though.

Rumi Neely from FashionToast

So Friday was my birthday, i'm now 26 but still feel and act like an 18 year old. I had to work throughout the day and in the evening i went and had a chinese and drinks with friends. It got pretty messy and at one point in the night i was dancing on a chair to Mr Brightside by The Killers. Got in at 3am and had a wedding to go to the next day, ouch.
Had some amazing presents and cards from everyone who i can't thank enough for making my day so fantastic, thanks guys. My boyfriend got me a yearly subscription to Vogue! So it will feel like my birthday every month for a year, yessss.
The picture here is irrelevent to my birthday but Rumi is wearing two things here that i have been longing for forever, the Topshop leopard print fur that i can never seem to afford when it's in stock and that quilted Chanel that i can only dream about.
